WSRCD Funding Partners

The conservation district is able to multiply the local dollars with support from various funding partners. In particular we want to thank the following:



The province provides close to 75% of our funding. Manitoba Conservation – Manitoba Remote Sensing Centre – provided Radarsat-2 Imagery of flooded regions in the conservation district.



Canada Natural resources

Canadian Natural Resources - In 2011 WSRCD received funding for Clean Stream Team projects with local schools.


Brandon foundation

The Brandon Area Foundation has made generous grants in support of education programs in the District.

Thanks to Tree Canada for a grant in 2012 for a tree planting at the Woodville Cemetery.

Richardson Foundation Has given $200,000.00 for environmental education programs within the conservation district.



The Royal Bank of Canada – Blue Water Project  - Over the past two years the conservation district received funding for water sampling and new watershed signage.


CNR awarded WSRCD $5000.00 for the Woodville Cemetery tree planting project.


Enbridge awarded WSRCD $15,000.00 for the development of a new educational nature trail at Oak Lake.

Manitoba Hydro Forestry Enhancement Program has awarded WSRCD $38,300.00 for tree planting projects.
